The guys began attaching the new collars that will provide a much healthier interface between the SAC & the telescope. The aluminium collar was fitted to the simulator jig that will support the SAC throughout the testing & alignment process. The steel collar will bolt onto the existing interface ring after some modifications to the temporary gear that's currently holding the SAC in place. After that, the 2 collars will be allowed to get to know one another... In the meantime, we got to gawk at Darragh's "dustbin of mirrors" from all different angles!
What's this blowing out the alcohol! Eben, at the very least, I would have expected you to have a jar to catch it! (and at best, to suck it out!). :-)
